Kumana is the name of a wetlands in Sri Lanka where the Great Eastern egret thrives and is protected. The meaning of the word Kumana is “to succeed” which reflects the Great Egrets conservation success story. In the early 20th century, Great Egrets were hunted endlessly for their beautiful pure white plumages and were used for ladies hats. Today, the great egret is thriving and protected thanks to many conservation societies and national parks all around the world.
Our exquisite cotton cushions are printed and handmade to order in Italy. With vivid colours and cotton piping, your handmade cushion is beautiful as well as durable.
